Huong's Homestay

Huong's Homestay is a homestay in District 1, the central district of Ho Chi Minh City, with recently renovated family rooms that open onto an inner courtyard. The rooms are air-conditioned and come with a private bathroom, a seating area, a work desk and a wardrobe. Each has a terrace, and the two room types are both 18 m², so the difference lies mainly in the beds.

Guests can relax in the garden, on the terrace or in the shared lounge, which has a TV area and an indoor play area for children. A buffet breakfast with local specialities, warm dishes, juice and fresh fruit is served, and vegetarian and vegan options are available. Cooking classes teach Vietnamese cuisine, and there is a shared kitchen for guests.

Staff are a friendly family team who offer local recommendations and cultural insights. WiFi is free throughout the property, pets are allowed with charges that may apply, and there is no parking, so arriving by taxi is the practical option. Guests come for the peaceful setting away from the busy streets and for the chance to stay close to the centre.

Huong's Homestay has two room types, both 18 m² and both with a private bathroom, air conditioning and a terrace over the inner courtyard. The Deluxe Double Room (2 Adults + 1 Child) is the family option: it has a large bed and a futon mat, and it is the only room with a futon. The Double Room with Private Bathroom has one large bed and a seating area, and it suits couples who prefer a simpler bed layout.

Both rooms share the same fittings: a shower, towels, toiletries, a hairdryer, linen, a socket beside the bed, a wardrobe and a work desk, plus air conditioning. Because the floor area is the same, the choice comes down to the bed layout and the number of guests you travel with.

The shared spaces centre on an outdoor dining area, a garden and a terrace, with a shared lounge and TV area indoors. An indoor play area and family rooms make the homestay practical for travellers with children, and the property is non-smoking throughout.

Air conditioning is fitted in the rooms, with a fan as well. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, towels, toiletries, a hairdryer and linen, plus a wardrobe, a desk, a seating area and a clothes rack. A fold-up bed is also available.

Free WiFi covers all areas of the property, and internet services are available. Guests can take a cooking class to learn Vietnamese cooking and use the shared kitchen. Pets are allowed, and charges may be applicable.

The homestay has no parking, so most guests arrive by taxi or ride-hailing car from the stations and the airport.

Tao Dan Park is 1.2 km away and the War Remnants Museum 1.6 km, the latter with outdoor displays of aircraft and tanks. Nha Rong Wharf, on the Saigon River, is 2.3 km away. Ben Thanh market and the Nguyen Hue walking street are also in District 1, and several cafés and restaurants lie within 100 m. For a half-day, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and the Fine Arts Museum offer collections on the city's history and art.
